RETURN POLICIES

General: It is our goal for our customers to be 100% happy and satisfied.  We will always try to work with you to make sure that you feel that you have been treated fairly, and that your needs have been met.  We have the following policies in place, but we are always willing to discuss extenuating circumstances. Refunds will be given in the same form as payment was made, or as store credit depending on the situation.

Gear: New gear may be returned, unused, for a full refund or exchange, for a period of 30 days.  After 30 days, store credit will be granted at our discretion, minus a 10% restocking fee.  Oceanic Gear may be exchanged for a period of 30 days--even if it has been used--for another Oceanic product. Lycra Skins, Paddle Shorts, and Bathing suits are not returnable IF WORN unless defective.

Educational Materials: Educational materials may be returned for a full refund if unopened w/ the complete package for up to 60 days.  Books (spines no visible creasing) DVD’s (seal unbroken).

Purchased Coursework:  Coursework is generally not refundable.  For instance, if you sign-up for, or start a class, and then change your mind we don’t offer a refund.  We will discuss each instance on a case-by-case basis.

  • If you sign up for Open Water Certification and are unable to get medical clearance to dive—you will be granted a full refund with the completed medical form with Dr.’s signature.
  • If you are unable to complete a class due to life circumstances, health, or work schedule, you may postpone the course and resume it when you are able (within 24 months).
  • If you signed up for classes under our “Free Class w/ 7 day trip special” and placed a deposit on the trip while you took lessons, you are not entitled to a refund of the course cost if you change your mind on the trip—the deposit amount above the cost of the course is refundable (depending on the date of cancelation and refund policies for that particular trip—see below)

Rental Goods: Rental sales are final, once the goods leave the shop.  If you purchase rental gear for a trip for instance and then don’t dive, or return early—it is not refundable. No refunds will be given for unused air.

Defective Merchandise: We will always accept defective merchandise back for a refund, exchange, or repair, according to the individual manufacturer guidelines.  For instance Princeton Tech offers a lifetime guarantee.  Please see individual packaging, or ask about the warrantee on specific products.

Trips: Refund policies vary by trip.  We follow the refund guidelines for whatever resort/destination we are going to.  Please discuss the refund policy of the trip with us before booking to make sure you understand it completely.
